'Snowy' It is always a pleasure to work on any animal portrait when the subject has white fur. There is such a lovely range of colours within the white that allow texture and form to be described. So little of any white subject is purely white. Think of the subtle lavender hues in any shadow of a brightly lit snowscape. My client was very pleased with the finished painting, which was given as a gift. I am able to say that comments about the painting of 'Snowy' included "It looks just like her, the fur looks so real and the painting is better than the photograph."
